I’m a freelance writer, editor, and consultant based in Washington, DC.
When not doing my own writing, I help others write and edit books, papers, articles, and other projects. I’ve worked with scholars, think tanks, development banks, aid organizations, and a range of other clients. My specialties are economics, public policy, and global development, but I always love learning something new.
Previously, I spent six years as an economist and senior advisor at the US Treasury Department focused on international economics and development finance. Earlier, I worked in publishing and helped launch the VAD Foundation, a nonprofit supporting education and community development programs in South Sudan.
I studied public policy at Harvard Kennedy School, focusing on political and economic development, and English and creative writing at Stanford. After growing up in Colorado and California, I’m now based in DC with my wife and our adorable kids.
